Marshal McBride

Marshal Douglas McBride is a human quest giver located in Northshire Valley in Elwynn Forest. He is a marshal of the Stormwind Army who acts as the commander of Northshire Abbey's garrison and is in charge of the defense of the valley.

He was concerned about the kobolds that have infested the woods in Northshire Valley and moved into Echo Ridge Mine. He consequently marshaled paladins of the Silver Hand, warriors, and other recruits to get rid of the vermin.

During the Elemental Invasion, Worried Citizens often mentioned speaking with Marshal McBride about not letting them into Stormwind City.

Following the Cataclysm, he had to deal with a full-fledged invasion by Blackrock clan orcs that have gained entry into the once secluded Northshire Valley through a passage in the mountains opened by the Shattering.

When the Defias Brotherhood attacked Northshire, he fought against Clessington Attendants. At one point during the fighting, he noticed Vanessa VanCleef and wanted to have her arrested, but Mathias Shaw assured him she was on their side. McBride also recognized the Stormwind champion as the recruit that he used to train long ago and asked them to help defend Northshire.
