Echo of Tyrande
Last wiki revision 2023-04-10
Echo of Tyrande is a boss to appear in the End Time instance.
''Once the leader of the night elves and High Priestess of Elune, this time-twisted fragment of Tyrande Whisperwind now wanders the wastes of the desolate future of Azeroth. Enveloped in a perpetual midnight, she has all but lost sight of the comforting light of Elune.''
The dragonshrine in this future is supernaturaly dark. Trash mobs will attack the players. Large beams of moonlight will appear. While the trash mobs are outside the moonlight they are protected by a 90% shield. The tank should aggro the mobs and bring them into the moonbeam to erase the shield. Unshielded trash mobs are easily defeated.
After approximately 45 seconds the moonbeam will disappear. Shortly afterward a new moonbeam will appear. Players should move to the new moonbeam. There are four moombeams, and they always appear in the order of West, South, East and North, pulling the players in a counter-clockwise direction. Between the South and East moonbeams are two staggered trees, which can easily block your sight of the East moonbeam. If you can't find it, spin your camera. Marking a perceptive player with a Target Marker can help guide a group with less experienced players from beam to beam, and especially the South moonbeam to the East moonbeam.
The North moonbeam will place you nearby and south-east of Tyrande; you may attack her when you are ready to begin the encounter. Dark Moonlight appears as a ring of dark purple around the boss in the center of the dragonshrine. Ranged casters should stay out of the Dark Moonlight during battle.
Echoe of Tyrande is a fight that relies heavily on running to avoid negative effects. Tyrande casts Moonlance, which travels away from her then splits into 3 parts, delivering damage and a Stun to any who are in their path. When the Eyes of the Goddess activate, they circle around her in a wide radius, leaving behind Piercing Gazes that must be avoided to prevent damage and a Silence effect.
At 30% health, Tyrande casts Tears of Elune, which does significant group damage over time. This is the best time to activate trinkets, long-cooldown abilities, and Heroism/Bloodlust, as healing will become more difficult at this point.
