Assaults
Last wiki revision 2022-05-21
Assaults are a feature added in patch 8.3.0, consisting of the invasion by various enemies of Uldum in Kalimdor and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms in Pandaria, triggering a zone-wide event.
Unlike the previous versions of the feature, these Assaults feature only two zones with three different sets of enemies invading a portion of the area one at a time.
At a time, the area may be invaded by one of the three:
- Assault: Aqir Unearthed with aqir forces
- Assault: Amathet Advance with Amathet tol'vir
- Assault: The Black Empire (Uldum) with N'Zoth's forces
At a time, the area may be invaded by one of the three:
- Assault: The Endless Swarm with mantid swarm
- Assault: The Warring Clans with mogu forces
- Assault: The Black Empire (Vale of Eternal Blossoms) with N'Zoth's forces
When an Assault is active, portals for a Lesser Vision of N'Zoth are present.
- UI refers to the events as N'Zoth Assaults with the description of "click to view areas under attack by N'Zoth's forces." However, lorewise, the Amathet and the mogu clans are not N'Zoth's forces.
- In the early PTR development, the Assaults were referred to as Black Empire Assaults, before returning to the original name.
- Faction Assaults
- Legion Assaults
