Delas Moonfang

Delas Moonfang is a powerful night elven priestess of the moon of the Sisterhood of Elune and a paladin of the Order of the Silver Hand. She was first encountered at Starfall Outpost in on, and later moved at the Netherlight Temple and in the Sanctum of Light beneath Light's Hope Chapel.

During the war against the Iron Horde, she traveled with the Alliance forces in Draenor and helped them to fight the fel corruption in the woods surrounding the garrison of Lunarfall. At the time of the third invasion of the Burning Legion, she joined the Conclave and deciphered Balnazzar's attack plans against the Netherlight Temple. During her researches, she met the Highlord of the Silver Hand who later saved her from the Burning Legion on the demon world of Niskara. At the request of Alonsus Faol, she managed to convince the paladin order to create an alliance with the Conclave to destroy the nathrezim. After she found her true path in the Light, Delas officially became the first night elf paladin and champion of the Silver Hand.

Delas is a member of the Moonfang, a family of night elves who lived in a village of Val'sharah at the time of the War of the Ancients.

At some point, she followed the path of the Light, and for many years she studied to be a priestesses of the Moon among the Sisterhood of Elune.

At the time of the war against the Iron Horde, Delas traveled with her sister Daleera Moonfang and the Alliance forces in, and settled at Starfall Outpost in.

During their battle against Gul'dan's Shadow Council in Gul'var and the Cursed Woods, Archmage Khadgar asked Delas to prepare a moonwell in the night elf outpost, in order to sanctify its water and use it against the demons in the forest. Consequently, she sent Alliance adventurers to retrieve a piece from the Lunar Rock in the Secluded Glade, which she considered perfect for use in the dedication of the moonwell to Elune. Once the chunk was in her possession, she assured them that she would complete the Archmage's request.

As Cordana Felsong told her that the creatures of the woods were cursed by the same fel energies keeping Khadgar from scrying into Gul'var, she asked the adventurers to kill a few corrupted toads and cursed wolves, because she considered that it was better to kill them than to let them suffer any longer. She then mentioned that if they had been in Azeroth, she would have tried to save them by other means, but that under the current conditions they didn't have time for that.

At the time of the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Delas joined the ranks of the Conclave, an order uniting all the priesthoods of Azeroth, and participated in the ritual of Light in the Netherlight Temple, in order to return the void god Saraka back to its holy form, the naaru Saa'ra.

Later during the invasion, after the Conclave learned that the dreadlord Balnazzar intended to attack the Netherlight Temple with his armies of demons, she explained to the High Priest of the Conclave that she has been studying Eredun for some time, and asked them to find Demonic Runestones, in hopes of discovering something that would help them locate Balnazzar. After acquiring the runestones, she resolved to find a quiet place to decipher them. At the Antonidas Memorial in Dalaran, she was asked by the Highlord of the Silver Hand, sent by her friend Aponi Brightmane, to assist the paladin order in deciphering the Codex of Command. She accepted the request, and asked for the Fel Lexicon from the Violet Hold and Flasks of Demon Blood to be able to quickly help translating the book. After she deciphered the tome, she revealed to the Highlord that it contained records of the Legion forces at Felblaze Ingress, and their plan to open a portal directly to the demon world Niskara. Since the situation was serious, she requested the Highlord's permission to accompany them at Light's Hope Chapel. Seeking to offer her services to the Silver Hand, she entered the Sanctum of Light to meet Aponi, and then promised to send word to the Conclave for reinforcements. She later accompanied Aponi and Arator Windrunner with their combined troops to destroy the demonic portal at Felblaze Ingress.

However, after their arrival, all the paladins and priests present were defeated by Balnazzar and his army, and Delas was taken with them to Niskara for unknown reasons. She was later rescued by the Highlord of the Silver Hand and the High Priest of the Conclave, and helped them to save the other prisoners. When she returned at the Netherlight Temple, Alonsus Faol asked her and the High Priest to try to get an audience with the war council of the Silver Hand, and to convince the paladins to help them defeat Balnazzar. At the Sanctum of Light, they were welcomed as guests and met Lord Maxwell Tyrosus, Lady Liadrin, Vindicator Boros, Justicar Julia Celeste and Arator the Redeemer who eventually agreed to bring their aid to the Conclave after listening to her arguments.

During the preparations for the battle against Balnazzar, Delas met the Highlord in the Hall of Champions and told them that after she walked into the halls of the Sanctum of Light, she discovered a new path to complete her training which she considered incomplete, and asked to join the ranks of the Silver Hand. In front of the Altar of Ancient Kings, she took her sacred oath and pledged her life to the paladin order. The Highlord accepted her induction, and through their holy powers, she was reborn as the first night elf to join the Knights of the Silver Hand. She was later present during the battle in the Netherlight Temple, and fought the demons alongside her paladin and priest allies.

During the campaign of the Armies of Legionfall at the Tomb of Sargeras, Delas met the Highlord in the Sanctum after they determined the worth of paladin recruits, and asked them if they would deem her worthy if they tested her on the moment. Despite her desire to join the offensive on the Broken Shore, she explained that she began to doubt herself after discovering her family's sigil among the demonic runes she have been deciphering. She then asked the Highlord to seek out her family at Andu'talah in Val'sharah, in order to find what was the connection of her ancestors with the Burning Legion, and to discern if she was truly worthy to join the Silver Hand.

In Val'sharah, the Highlord met Erelyn Moonfang, who was relieved that Delas did not come, as she would have been horrified to learn that an eredar raised their ancestors in service of the Legion. After they killed the demon, the Highlord returned to Delas with a Felstone pendant, a blank scroll, and the journal of Nerus Moonfang from within Shadowfen. After soaking the scroll in demon's blood, Delas was shocked to learn that her uncles had made a pact with the Legion in life; his family would be protected, but the souls of their family would be bound to them for eternity. Panicked, Delas implored the Highlord to smash the pendant with their artifact, as it bound her soul to the Legion.

Upon its destruction, she found that it contained the soul of Nerus Moonfang himself. Angrily demanding an explanation, Nerus solemnly apologized for his actions but told them that they could still save the Moonfang family spirits enslaved by the Legion. Traveling to the Broken Shore, the Highlord freed the night elf spirits and slew Oathbinder Zorak, ending the curse placed upon the Moonfangs. Following this, Nerus pledged himself to the Knights of the Silver Hand to begin to atone for his actions, which Delas commented was a start for his redemption.

This night elf woman has white hair and bright violet eyes. Her hair is in a long braid that loops around her waist. Her mithril armor glows with a white light. She is a natural leader and appears as a white warrior, casting spells to aid the combatants and protecting the wounded. She remains in the rear of a battle, organizing the efforts to retrieve and heal the wounded.

• She is fairly adept in twelve different languages, notably in Eredun.
• She has seen many demonic artifacts in the past, and knows how to reveal Legion sigils with demon blood.
• She once tried to use a living demon for her researches on the sigils, and it ended badly for the latter.
• She is known to enjoy the memorial dedicated to Antonidas.
• She is one of the three known night elf paladin, the others being her uncle Nerus and Alynblaze.
• She was also a random hero priestess of the moon on multiplayer maps of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
• Delas is voiced by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn in Legion.
