The Great Akazamzarak

The Great Akazamzarak is a goblin magician normally found entertaining some Dalaran Citizens at the Eventide in Dalaran. He is an expert with portals and teleportation and is therefore recruited by the Tirisgarde in order to teleport its members inside the Hall of the Guardian, bypassing the security wards. Notably, he was capable of opening and maintaining eight separate portals to various locations scattered across three continents, a feat unprecedented by a single mage in the game.

Starting with patch 7.2.0, you can mute Akazamzarak in Dalaran by talking to him.

• Hey buddy, don't you know better than to interrupt a performer during his show?

Afterwards, you can talk to him again to undo muting him.

Akazamzarak appears as HS The Great Akazamzarak (one of the bosses) that can be encountered in the HS Dalaran Heist single-player experience in the Rise of Shadows expansion for Hearthstone.

Furthermore, he is seemingly depicted in the card art for the rare mage spell HS Magic Trick.

• Game files related to Akazamzarak being a champion already existed during the Legion alpha. He was finally made available as a champion in patch 7.2.0.
• He has an invisible Follower recruiting spell with the following description:
• Akazamzarak is voiced by Chris Parson.
• In the Russian version of WoW, Akazamzarak is named Великий Ахалаймахалай (Velikiy Akhalaymakhalay), a reference to the well-known magic spell Сим-салабим-ахалай-махалай-сяськи-масяськи (Sim-salabim-akhalay-makhalay-syas'ki-masyas'ki) by the Soviet/Russian illusionist.
• His pissed quote, "Screw this, I'm makin' my own mage order! With Hearthstone! And succubi! On second thought, forget the mage order!" is a reference to Bender Rodriguez of Futurama, who has the line "Forget this, I'm gonna go make my own theme park! With blackjack! And hookers! In fact, forget the theme park!"
