The way Irik-tul is described (insectoid, a thousand eyes) and the way Irik-tul speaks of the "thousand truths" resembles the way the forces of the Void have been characterized both in-game (such as the Aqir) and by developers. As from the quest Limbo (quest), we see a mantid warrior would normally enter the Shadowlands, it is possible Irik-tul is also of a race born of an Old God.

• Given at the time of this report, the Burning Legion existed, this indicates it came after the corruption of Sargeras by the nathrezim, which in turn comes after their banishment after the Light invaded Revendreth.
