Seal (ability)
Last wiki revision 2023-06-23
Seal abilities are paladin self-buffs. Only one Seal can be active on the paladin at any one time.
- A Seal is a self-buff aura which boosts the paladin's power.
- Seals cause an additional effect to occur on successful melee attacks. These effects vary greatly, from returning mana or health to causing high amounts of Holy damage.
- All seals are treated as a magic-type non-dispellable buff.
- All seals cause a 1-second global cooldown, as opposed to the usual 1.5 seconds.
- Seal of Insight is usually the best seal for healing. It can also be useful when the Paladin is in low on health.
- Seal of Truth is the best seal for maximizing damage to a single target.
- Seal of Righteousness is generally the best seal for AoE damage against three or more targets.
- Seal of Justice is only available to Retribution Paladins and is useful for PvP. It can also be better than Seal of Truth on single foes if the fight is short.
A part of playing a Paladin well is recognizing which Seal to use and when to break conventional guidelines according to the situation.
