Plagued proto-drake

Plagued proto-drakes are proto-dragons plagued by the new Blight of the Scourge.

At the time of the war against the Lich King, after they joined the ranks of the Scourge, the Hyldnir frost vrykul of Valkyrion served the Lich King by capturing proto-drakes and their eggs, in order to infect them with the plague through the Blighted Pool, waters filled with corruption and disease in the Storm Peaks. The infected creatures became their mounts and nest all around in the mountains above their village.

These plagued proto-drakes were also used as mounts by the vrykul of Valkyrion in Icecrown, and were later targeted by Gretta the Arbiter who ordered adventurers to destroy the plagued eggs.

At the time of the Fourth War, during the Battle for Darkshore, a plagued proto-drake was ridden by the Forsaken Blightguard Captain Thedric.
