Lock
Last wiki revision 2020-11-08
In World of Warcraft, a lock usually refers to a few of things:
- Something that keeps a container or door closed. Locks can be unlocked by Engineers with items like, by Blacksmiths with items like , by Rogues' Lockpicking skill, or by a specific key. Note that not every lock can be unlocked by all methods.
- An abbreviation for a Warlock.
- To engage a lock so it becomes locked.
- An Instance Lockout (or Raid, Dungeon, or World Boss lockout) which prevents players from receiving loot from the same encounter multiple times in a row. An instance "resets" and the lock is removed at set intervals, unless the lockout period is extended manually.
