During Now With More Mechanical Fowl, one of the possible effects from firing the Prototype Bomber Gun is to launch a G-5 CANARY at the target. The chicken will run around for a few seconds and taunt any nearby enemies before casting an ability called Detonate, thereby exploding and killing all nearby enemies.

• These chickens' name and function are a reference to how were historically used as a way of detecting gas leaks in coal mines.
