The Spirit of Anvilrage is one of the Dark Iron Thanes found in The Athenaeum in Blackwing Descent.
In life, he was one of the most powerful generals in the Blackrock Depths. While he no longer lives to command the Dark Iron army, his insignia—a flaming anvil—is visible on tabards and shields beneath Blackrock Mountain to this day, and many soldiers still bear the name Anvilrage.
