The Violet Eye (quest)

Speak to Archmage Alturus outside Karazhan.

A great responsibility has been bestowed upon you,. If the signs that the Violet Eye has observed are to be trusted, then you must help them.

For all my disagreements with Cedric, the work that men like Alturus do is still important. Beware that they do not use you, however. Remember it is you who the key is bound to, not them. But if the danger in Karazhan is real, then it is they who are best prepared to guide you in dealing with it. Go back to Alturus and help him in any way that you can.

You will receive

• 6250 XP
• +75 reputation with The Violet Eye

I sent you to deliver a report and you come back with a key to this place? There must be more to you than meets the eye,.

You can find Khadgar in the central dome of the Terrace of Light of Shattrath City by the naaru, A'dal. Archmage Alturus is at the base of Medivh's tower, Karazhan, in southern Deadwind Pass.
