Assault of the Zaqali

Assault of the Zaqali is a boss in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible.

''Vakan and Gholna, powerful djaradin elders, are each a master over their respective element. Gholna with lava and Vakan with shadowflame, they are locked in constant conflict over who is stronger. Through devastation and chaos, each elder attempts to outdo the other until one of them is crowned victor.''

Vakan and Gholna take turns gaining energy to see who can kill the most players. Vakan hurls Enveloping Darkness at random player destinations that summons a Blistering Cyclone. Gholna creates Lava Geysers at random player destinations that erupt and continually inflict Fire damage to several players. At full energy, Vakan unleashes Scorching Eclipse while Gholna casts Incineration. When one is defeated, the other declares victory reducing their spells recast time and increasing the rate they gain energy.

• Gholna stacks Searing Touch on random players.
• Vakan stacks Burning Shadows on random players.

• Gholna's Burning Strike applies an application of Searing Touch.
• Vakan's Umbral Smash applies an application of Burning Shadows.
• While Gholna and Vakan are close together, they gain Empowered Rivalry.
