Tinkers strive constantly to create the perfect tool. Some actually believe that constructs are the purest form of life, so they recreate the world's natural creatures in this "perfect state." Most mechanized animals barely resemble their organic counterparts, but many tinkers claim they are perfect nonetheless and keep them as pets. Most mechanized animals are simply referred to as mechanized versions of their natural equivalent. However, some mechanical animals in widespread use go by different names, such as "mechanostrider".

Mechanized animals do not have a true mind, but are instead programmed to preform certain actions congruent with those of similar natural creatures. And they are always neutral

"Mechanized animal" is an inherited template that can be added to any animal or vermin. A mechanized animal uses nearly all the base creature's statistics and special abilities.

The creature's size is unchanged, however, it's type changes to construct and gains the mechanical subtype. They have the same types of attacks, but also gain a slam attack, if it did not already have one. They also retain all special attacks of the base creature.
