Devouring Darkness

Devouring Darkness is a voidwraith vignette that spawns in Candle Rock in Highmountain after interacting with the circle of Kobold Candles. Per Deal With It Personally, it used to be held captive by Wardens.

Despite being a mere vignette, legends have it that the Devouring Darkness is what kobold candles are supposed to protect against...

• Void Slippers

Needs to be summoned and killed for Deal With It Personally and WANTED: Devouring Darkness.

• An entity called The Darkness appears in the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion for Hearthstone. Due to its connection to snuffing out candles, The Darkness may be intended to be the same creature as the Devouring Darkness.
• Uul'gyneth, who has the title of The Darkness, has the same role to the Highmountain tauren that the Devouring Darkness has to the Bluewax kobolds. The Darkness (quest) states that Uul'gyneth even haunted the kobolds, hinting that the Devouring Darkness might have been retconned.
• The Devouring Darkness might also be one of Uul'gyneth's minions, like the Shadows and Fragments of Uul.
