Combat zone
Last wiki revision 2017-02-18
A combat zone is an area where all players are flagged for PvP combat, even if on a PvE realm. Combat zones were introduced in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
This is distinct from Player vs All zones, where a player can fight anyone not on their own team or raid.
- Wintergrasp
- Tol Barad (partially)
- Ashran (partially)
- Warden Towers
- Tol Barad is only a combat zone, while the battle is taking place, when the battle is not taking place the area treats it as a contested zone per the type of realm players are on.
- Battlegrounds could be considered combat zones, as realm types are ignored, and players are not able to switch off their PvP flag.
