Enter the central room, head clockwise up the steps and take the first portal to reach Skoldus Hall.

This is the first real run of Torghast. Players will need to complete six levels and kill the wing boss to continue. There shouldn't be too much challenge - as the mobs generally have low health and there are a large number of anima powers to be picked up. As in all runs, players have five deaths available to them before the difficulty spikes as the Tarragrue spawns...

Immediately after entering, interact with the Anima Cell to choose an Anima Power. Kill mobs, loot their Phantasma, recover souls, and keep moving forward. Get to level 6 and defeat Warden Skoldus to complete the objective of this quest, earn the achievement Torghast: Skoldus Hall: Layer 1, and loot The Forgotten Key, which starts Prison of the Forgotten.
