Cathedral Quarter

The Cathedral Quarter is the northwestern section of Gilneas City, and is the location of the Light's Dawn Cathedral. It is mostly a park setting, and is debatable the main entrance to the city. It connects to Greymane Court to the south and the Merchant Square to the east. A defense of the cathedral from feral worgen takes place here during By Blood and Ash. The area is passed through during The Hunt For Sylvanas, where a large Forsaken garrison is seen. During Slowing the Inevitable, the area is bombarded by the plague by Forsaken catapults from the Northgate Woods.

During the Silverpine Forest storyline, this area is home to a garrison of 7th Legion Submariners led by Master Sergeant Pietro Zaren. Also, the removal of a gate allows one to get to Merchant Square from here, even though there is no reason to.
