A Shady Place
Last wiki revision 2022-03-09
A Shady Place during the Night Fae Assault provides access to The Rift in the Maw, an alternate phase of existence. Full of treasure, rare enemies, and an unlockable mount, players should spend some time exploring rather than tunnel-visioning the quest objectives.
Use the Unbalanced Riftstone to enter the rift and break Rift-Veiled Traps to free Riftbound Vorkai.
- Use the Unstable Riftstone to enter the Rift
- Hungering Manifestations slain in the rift (8)
- Riftbound Vorkai freed (4)
- Meet Margravr Sin'dane on the bridge overlooking the growing darkness.
Existence is not a simple thing,. It is layers upon layers of realities.
The Jailer's traps are pulling our troops into one such rift, hidden from normal sight.
I have obtained an Unbalanced Riftstone. It will give you the ability to enter the rift and destroy the traps keeping our troops trapped inside, before they are lost forever.
After you've destroyed the Rift-Veiled Traps, exit the rift and pull the trapped soldiers back into our reality.
You will receive:
- +125 reputation with The Undying Army
- Undying Army Commendation
There is much we cannot see.
Excellent work Maw Walker.
Use the provided Unbalanced Riftstone anywhere in the quest area (Crucible of the Damned and Calcis) to change phases into The Rift. Players will be in the rift for ten minutes after using the quest item:
While in The Rift, players are granted a bonus ability to exit the rift:
Start taking out Hungering Manifestations while looking for Riftbound Vorkai. The vorkai are held by three Rift-Veiled Traps.

Interact with all three, exit the rift, then interact with the vorkai to pull it back to reality. Be careful that some of the vorkai locations in Calcis are filled with enemies when players reenter the normal phase of reality.
