TL;DR: Blizzard has started a "WoW: Forever Journey" video miniseries. Episode 1 is set in Norway and features Guzu, Snupy and Stian Blipp. Unconfirmed: Icy Veins reports the episode ties to the story of Mats Steen, but that claim comes from a Facebook post, and Blizzard has not said so.

What we know

Episode 1 is on Blizzard's YouTube. It follows three well-known Norwegian personalities, Guzu, Snupy and Stian Blipp, as part of the run-up to the WoW: Forever launch on November 4. The series looks at why people still care about this game, more than twenty years on.

What is not confirmed

UNCONFIRMED: A link between this episode and the story of Mats Steen has been reported by Icy Veins, citing a Facebook post. Blizzard has not confirmed it. We will update this post if Blizzard does.

Mats Steen's story, told in the documentary Ibelin, is about friendships he built inside World of Warcraft. If the tie-in is real, it would be a meaningful nod. Until there is a source from Blizzard, treat it as a report, not a fact.

Why it matters for Forever players

The Journey series is Blizzard telling the community story of WoW: Forever, not patch news. It is a good reminder that the people you meet in your first dungeon are a big part of why this version exists.
