WoW: Forever Launches Nov 4: Your Launch-Week Checklist
Blizzard's global launch guide for WoW: Forever, boiled down to a checklist: install, preset, ruleset, names, Skyborne access and account recovery before November 4.
TL;DR: Blizzard published its global launch guide for WoW: Forever, which launches November 4. Before then: install it through Battle.net, make sure you can log in, agree on a ruleset and faction with friends, and have backup names ready. Your first login asks for an Experience Preset, and Blizzard says to start with Enhanced if unsure.
What Blizzard said
The launch guide covers 1–60 across Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, more than 1,000 new quests and nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13–60. Wowhead's summary lists launch at 3:00 PM Pacific on November 4. That time comes from Wowhead; Blizzard's guide doesn't state it.
Launch-week checklist
- Install now. Battle.net app → WoW: Forever → pick it under Game Version (and the right account if you have several) → Install.
- Test your login. If you're locked out, use Blizzard's "Can't Log In?" recovery before launch day, then check your region, license and security settings.
- Update your PC. Blizzard asks you to update your OS and graphics drivers and check the system requirements.
- Know your access. An active subscription or Game Time includes Forever. Skyborne requires the Heroic Pack or higher.
- Pick a preset. Classic (SD models, no quest blobs, one-bag and transmog off) or Enhanced (HD models, those features on). You can change it later in Options.
- Coordinate your ruleset. Normal, PvP, Roleplay or Roleplay-PvP. Blizzard says to match ruleset and faction with your friends and guild. Hardcore comes later.
- Have backup names. Full two-part names are first come, first served per region.
News recap. Everloot has no addon data yet; launch is when it starts.
Help the DB grow: install the Everloot addon before November 4 so your drops count from day one.
