Search (ChatGPT connector contract)

The same search as search_knowledge, in the shape ChatGPT connectors and deep research call by name: up to 10 results, each with an id for fetch, a title and a URL to cite. The text block is the same JSON as a string.

Parameters#

querystring, up to 1000 charactersrequired: What to look up: names, questions, keywords. Question words are ignored.

The answer#

Text for the assistant to read, and structuredContent with these top-level fields. The JSON Schema is at /schema/mcp/search.json.

resultsarray of objectsrequired: No description.

Without an MCP client#
