WoW: Forever Beta Closes: Priority Fixes, Then Launch Nov 4
Blizzard closed the WoW: Forever beta after five weeks. Next: a few days of priority fixes, character creation on Oct 27, and more podcast episodes.
TL;DR: The WoW: Forever beta is officially closed after five weeks. Blizzard says it will spend a few days on priority issues and the game service, open character creation on Tuesday, October 27, and keep the WoW: Forever Podcast going next week. Launch is still November 4.
What Blizzard said
In its thank-you post, Blizzard wrote:
"We're now quickly moving into a period of a few short days where we will do some focused work on priority issues and the game service itself." (Blizzard)
What it means for players
- No more beta access. Your next login is character creation on Oct 27 (our checklist).
- Blizzard did not list which issues are "priority." Players on Wowhead flagged layering and class tuning.
- New podcast episodes are coming next week. Recent ones covered Molten Core's new mechanics.
News recap. Everloot has no addon data from the beta.
